“STRUCK” 10:30 am Modern Worship – in Hayden Hall
10:30 worship – STRUCK (Spending Time Reaching Up to Christ’s Kingdom) is a casual modern worship service set in a multi-purpose room. It features a full band, WI-FI, video presentations and services planned around real-life connection. It is Jesus centered worship open to any and all who long to know something more.
In 2006 several saints set out to create a Sunday morning worship service with a modern feel and an innovative style. STRUCK (spending time reaching up to Christ’s kingdom) was born out of that passion and has continued to grow over the last fifteen years. STRUCK is Jesus centered and strives to connect the teachings of the Bible to the lives of the people living in today’s world. At Chardon United Methodist, we try to meet people where they are.
We offer a tech friendly, Wi-Fi ready worship setting with a modern theme and modern music. Feel free to take notes or look up scripture on you smart phones or tablets. Scriptures, song lyrics and videos are projected on a big screen and the volume level won’t require earplugs but there is definitely a rock concert feel. The musicians of our house band, Reign Forecast, have been together for some time now and are able to lead worship with a passion, quality and energy not found in many churches of this size. Don’t worry about fitting in, your style is probably just the style we need. On Sunday morning you can expect to find people wearing anything from flip flops and t-shirts to a jacket and tie. If that doesn’t put you at ease, then just wear business casual for your first visit and you will fit right in. Coffee is available, if you need that extra caffeine to boost your worship energy. Child care is available for Toddlers year round in a newly renovated toddler room with our volunteer staff who have all been background checked and have passed our Child Protection Training. During the school year we offer a Sunday School Program for ages Pre-kindergarten-5th grade that occurs during our STRUCK service (10:30am). Our youth (grades 6-12) and confirmands will be meeting this fall. Check back for updated dates/times and information.Click here to learn more
