The ASP Obstacle Course
The Appalachia Service Project is a home repair ministry. To make the best use of supplies and volunteer hours, each volunteer should learn as much as possible at home, before the actual ASP experience. ASP places a priority on safety.
There are many ways to learn and practice construction and repair skills. Our park bench project is one. But today … we will run an obstacle course, mixed with lessons about safety and construction. The basics of measuring, sawing, and nailing apply to most jobs we do. But you may be challenged with digging, carrying heavy objects, climbing ladders, installing sheetrock and insulation, painting, roofing, and more!
The first team to the cookout wins! Let the clocks begin…
