We will meet at John Eltzroth’s barn for a lesson and to build park benches for our final fundraiser of the year. This is an ASP classic study session developed to encourage volunteers to look first-hand at the financial needs and economics of the poor. This simulation game is intensive and allows volunteers to experience and manage financial situations that are similar to the actual families they will serve in the summer. Players of the game will experience the disappointments and frustrations that ASP clients experience each day, as they live with limited financial resources forcing them to make difficult and often debilitating choices.
We will end the evening with ice cream … just like ASP!
