Thank you to all of you who have knit and crocheted for us. You have warmed the hearts of members and friends. We hear so many wonderful stories and responses. Here’s one from our past that delighted us.
Kathy Vinciquerra was a recipient of one of your prayer shawls. It was in Jim’s care as she went into surgery. As he waited for Kathy’s surgery to be over he noticed a mother and daughter across the room who were in distress. Fear appeared to be gripping the daughter and Jim could see she was chilled. Jim picked up Kathy’s prayer shawl, walked over to the mother and daughter and asked the daughter if she would like to wrap herself in the prayer shawl. She said yes. Within minutes she was asleep. Upon awaking the mother and daughter both thanked Jim, handed him the shawl and went onto face whatever was ahead. That day your prayer shawl was a double blessing as it also wrapped God’s love, through the work of your hands, around Kathy post surgery. Now that’s an Amen Story! Thank you for being a blessing to others.
