You have many ways to get involved with Chardon Church, from welcoming others at a Sunday worship to joining a mission team. Below is a list of Serve Teams you might be interested in.
Sunday Morning Greeters (at either service)
Volunteer to great people as they enter for the service and help them to feel welcome. This is a great way to get to know others in the church family and to stay connected. This is the front line of our goal to offer a welcoming worship experience to everyone who attends Chardon Church.
Coffee and Snacks Fellowship
Prepare coffee and snacks to share after each worship services. Brighten everyone’s day with a fresh cup of coffee, tea, or juice and enjoy conversation with others. This is another great way to get acquainted with your church family.
Each service benefits from friendly ushers, directing people to their seats, supplying them with bulletins, and answering questions they may have. If you enjoy welcoming and directing others, this is for you!
Production Team (at either service)
The Production team is the behind-the-scenes team that helps everything run smoothly during our Sunday worship gatherings. They’re doing their job when you don’t notice them, and are enabled to worship God fully. Technical prowess is a plus, but not a requirement. We will train you.
Reign Forecast (Worship Band)
Reign Forecast has been the “STRUCK House Band” in some form for nearly 10 years. Reign Forecast is a unique group of musicians and vocalists who are highly motivated to use their gifts to lead worship and to lead others to know the transforming power of Jesus. The band practices from 8:15-9:45 every Sunday morning before worship. People with a gift for singing or playing who are interested in trying out for Reign Forecast can contact Paul Hagan for more information. Read more by clicking Reign Forecast.
S.T.R.U.C.K. Setup and Teardown
Each Saturday, our multi-purpose room is transformed into an environment conducive to a fantastic contemporary worship experience. After the service, the room is rearranged to suit the needs for the week. To make this happen, we rely on a group of faithful volunteers, and we are currently in need of dependable people to set-up or teardown the audiovisual equipment and chairs. No experience is necessary.
Childcare is provided during both the Sunday services. We provide a safe, sanitary, warm and inviting place for infants and toddlers. If you love to care for children, please consider serving in Childcare.
Children and Teenager Education Team
Do you love to teach children? We have many opportunities to assist with our education program … from teachers to assistants. We need assistance throughout the school year, and also during our summer week of Vacation Bible School.
Can you help bring others to worship? We are looking for a volunteers who can provide transportation to an individuals who would like to attend our services, but need in transportation.
Youth Group Leaders
Come and share the gospel and your experience with students in our Youth Ministry. We are looking for both male and female leaders to assist with our Middle School and High School youth groups. Both groups usually meet on alternative Sundays.
Chardon Church benefits greatly from our strong pastoral leadership, but they can’t “do it all”. Much of the church business is carried out by targeted committees of volunteers. Areas of focus include finance, trustees (overseeing the campus properties), staff parish relations, missions, worship, and education. If any of these areas interest you, please consider serving on one of these committees.
Do you have a heart and a longing to pray for or visit someone in our Chardon community, and to ask God how He wants our church to respond to the needs? Then you may want to serve on our Care Ministry Team.
If you long to “get out in the world” and serve God with your hands, consider joining one or more of our mission teams:
