Chardon Church - Sanctuary
Foundation is our liturgy based traditional worship service set in our beautiful sanctuary. It is known for quality music from the Cantoria Choir and hand bell choir and hymnal music lead from the pipe organ and grand piano. Communion is served on the first Sunday of every month.
Chardon United Methodist Church has a legacy of faith and commitment to Chardon and its surrounding communities. It was the first Church in the city of Chardon and has continued to be a place of quality worship and community involvement. Foundation, our 8:45 traditional worship service, is an extension of the rich tradition that Chardon UMC has built in its nearly 200 years of doing God’s work. It is a worship service featuring all of the things that remind us of the glory and grace our savior Jesus Christ. From hymnal led worship to communion on the first Sunday of each month. Foundation offers a full Cantoria Choir, a hand bell choir and the organ and piano music of Pam White. Pam, who has a degree in organ performance, is featured weekly on a pipe organ that was donated, in part, to Chardon UMC by Andrew Carnegie, so hymns echo through the beautiful sanctuary with all the majesty of their original design. The Lord’s Prayer, the honoring of God’s Word read from the Good Book, and inspiring music are all a part of the worship experience. All are welcome and all are valued as a members of Christ’s Kingdom. Come join us any Sunday at 8:45 am.
Child care is available for Toddlers year round in a newly renovated toddler room with paid and volunteer staff who have all been background checked and have passed our Child Protection Training. Sunday School is offered following the service at 10:00 am during the school year and is available for ages 3-adult.
